Ziering Medical Case Study:

Client: Ziering Medical Worldwide, a private practice with surgical centers dedicated exclusively to the specialty of hair restoration.

Project: Design, develop and optimize a new website that is more interactive, provides more educational information for their target audience and creates a better overall user experience. In addition, implement in-depth search engine optimization for the site to amplify Ziering Medical’s visibility on the Internet via keyword searches.

Path to Success:

  1. Creative Brief - Having a very clear understanding of our client's goals and objectives is imperative to providing a solid web presence, and DMI launched this project with Ziering Medical by helping them provide a 50,000-foot view of their vision of a new website. With their desired features and functionalities in mind, DMI then walked through the design and development process so that our client had a clear understanding of what to expect during the process. We pride ourselves in how we educate our clients when it comes to all aspects of a project, from start to finish.

  2. Project Scope Development – Using our notes from the creative brief as well as other meeting notes taken during concept discussions with the client, we then formulated a scope of work that was sent to our various partners that were a good fit for this project and our client’s needs. We discussed long-term marketing strategies so as to ensure that the design or development work did not inhibit other marketing initiatives such as PPC (pay per click) and various methods of social media.

  3. Vendor Selection - Based on the scope of work provided, vendors/partners submitted their proposals for all of the project or pieces of the project, depending on their specialty. DMI reviewed all responses and fielded their questions, then made a recommendation. For the Ziering Medical project in particular, three different partners were utilized and managed by DMI.

  4. Execution - No matter how many vendors are chosen, DMI will take the project management role unless otherwise stated by the client. During this phase of the Ziering project, DMI accumulated and organized all website content collected during the creative/concept stage in the form of logo graphics, photos and images, text, form fields, SEO recommendations, PPC pages, etc. We handed off the content to the appropriate partner (images to the design team and copy/text to the copywriter), served as liaison between our client and partners, and actively monitored the milestones and deadlines to ensure timeliness and accuracy.

  5. Attention to Detail and a Successful Completion - One of the biggest issues with large projects such as this is what we call "scope creep," or minor changes that are out of the original scope or work that cause the project to go beyond the desired Go Live date. In order to have a project completed on time and on budget, scope creep has to be controlled as much as possible, with a sign-off after each phase of the process. DMI endeavored to run the entire Ziering Medical project smoothly and without interruption on either side. At the completion of the project, DMI conducted a final meeting to turn over all details and to discuss long-term management needs.

The most successful projects are those that are organized and executed with a high level of attention to detail, because even the smallest of issues can cause big problems if they’re not addressed right away. It's our mission to alleviate those issues and provide the ultimate in professional quality and value to your project as we did for Ziering Medical.
